The colorful stained glass window at Central Synagogue set the stage for Evan’s Bar Mitzvah weekend. Evan and his family smiled for Sarah Merians’ camera at their family photo shoot on the bimah with the Torah. Our photographer John met up Evan and his family Saturday afternoon at a celebratory luncheon at Brasserie here in Manhattan with close family. Saturday night, everyone hit the pier! Chelsea Piers Field House, that is! Evan’s friends got to joust, play basketball, soccer and hang out in the ball pit! Then, everyone gathered to wish Evan a happy Bar Mitzvah as he blew out the candles on his custom Mets cake.
