Founded in 1986 and based in New York City, Sarah Merians Photography & Video Company is the premier boutique wedding, social and corporate event photography studio in the Tri-State area. Our corporate division grew out of our accomplished and successful clients, who inquired often about photography for their own professional and business needs. Corporate needs range from headshots, and website development to large-scale events such as product launches, fundraisers, business meetings and company retreats.
Our professional photographers have extensive experience covering Award Ceremonies and Galas, Conferences and Meetings, Fundraisers and Charity Events, Marketing and PR Events, Cocktail receptions, College and University Events, Luncheons, Formal Dinners, Holiday Parties, Company Retreats and Employee Appreciation Events.
We also offer video services including event coverage, lie stream, IMAG, and video interview booths for events, on-site promo video shoots, montage for event, same day edit, sizzle reels, event recaps, commercials/ads, web-site content.

More extensive cosmetic retouching will be done on headshots and team photos so that your company can put it’s best face forward.
From conferences and meetings, to formal awards ceremonies and galas, video captures what photos cannot – presentations, keynote speakers, live product demonstrations, etc. We supply all the equipment needed (roving and/or stationary cameras, lighting, mics) and offer IMAG (image projection) as well live streaming services.
Whether you are looking for a basic cut and title, or a more elaborate sizzle reel or promotional piece, our talented editors are the best in the business. We work with you on pre and postproduction to bring your vision to life. We also offer onsite shoots for commercial marketing projects as well as custom video tributes and montages.
Aside from 30 plus years of experience you can trust, what makes us most unique is the combination of impeccable customer service, follow through and care you will receive before, during, and after your event. What our client’s value most is that we understand how important your event is! We cater to your every need and offer you peace of mind: Our photographers are the artists; our studio is the backbone. We are also a full-service studio for all your photography, video or photobooth needs all under one roof.
The number of photographers for your event will depend on number of guests at the event, the layout and size of your venue, what you need us to capture and your photography budget. For smaller events like board meetings, luncheons, and cocktail receptions of 150 or less, one photographer is sufficient. If your venue is very large and you have over 200 people attending the event, we recommend 2 photographers. Another situation that would mandate 2 or 3 photographers is when there are different aspects of the event that need to be covered occurring simultaneously. For instance, a step and repeat station or break out sessions.
We do not “count” how many images we will take on your event however we estimate 100 images per hour. We all know it isn’t quantity that makes great photography but the quality of the images from your day. It is our goal to be 10 sets of eyes for you on your event and to capture every detail for you.
We spend a lot of time editing your images to provide the best of the day. We process and color correct and deliver images within a few days after your event or sooner! Many corporate events need fast turn over for press, internal use, or social media content. We will work together to produce what you need when you need it.
We are primarily a Cannon studio shooting with Mark IV cameras. And others love the new Sony gear. We bring our own lighting if needed for indoor coverage ranging from on camera Cannon flashes. We will bounce room lighting off a ceiling sometimes to open the depth of images for overall crowd shots and more. We will bring umbrella lighting if headshots or team photos are required. Our photographers and videographers all use the same state of the art gear, have back up equipment and work as professionals.
We will work wherever we are asked to! We primarily work in Manhattan and the Tri-State area (New Jersey, Westchester, Long Island and Connecticut and will travel for event anywhere!!! The Caribbean, Rhode Island, The Hamptons to name a few places we have worked! We travel where our clients take us!!!!
We are a professional organization and maintain Insurance. We have Certificate of Insurance that is required at all venues. It is provided upon request.
We do not watermark our high-resolution images when we deliver them. We create a beautiful online portal for you that is password protected so you can view, share, and download the images from your event. You retain full usage rights of all images and print and publish them however you see fit.

We ask for a 50% deposit and balance due one month before the event unless the event is within a few weeks or days. We do get a lot of last-minute corporate inquiries and bookings. We do not accept credit cards. Thank you for your interest!
